De Jeep Cherokee heeft een update nodig en Stellantis heeft bevestigd dat hij een update zal krijgen.

Jeep has been producing the current generation of the Cherokee since 2014, making it one of the oldest compact SUVs in the segment and looking pretty old compared to all the latest Jeep models. Speaking to Motor Trend, Jim Morrison, head of Jeep's North American brand, confirmed the company's plans to make the next-generation Cherokee "bigger and better than ever."

Details about the upcoming Cherokee are scarce, but Christian Meunier, global head of the Jeep brand, revealed that there will be a lot of electrification.

Interestingly, MoparInsiders reports that the next generation Cherokee may also produce a new model called Wagoneer. All-wheel drive is expected to be standard.

Morrison has confirmed that the sixth-generation Cherokee will not hit the market this year.
